This privacy policy explains what information clifsmith.com collects when you visit the site, how it is used, and the choices you have. This website is owned and operated by Clif Smith (“I”, “me”, “my”).
Information I collect
Contact form
When you use the “Book or contact Clif” form, you provide your name, email address, and message. Submissions are emailed to me and stored in the site’s database (using the Contact Form 7 and Contact Form Entries plugins) so I can respond and keep a record of the conversation. The form submission may also record technical details such as your IP address, browser type, and the page you submitted it from.
Newsletter sign-up
If you sign up for news and insights, the email address (and any name) you enter is sent to Mailchimp, the email service I use to manage my mailing list and send emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. Mailchimp’s privacy policy is available at intuit.com/privacy/statement.
Online course (Master the Mind)
Links to the Master the Mind course, including the free Week 1, take you to courses.clifsmith.com, which is hosted on Kajabi. Any information you provide there (for example, your name, email address, and payment details for paid enrollment) is collected and processed by Kajabi and its payment processors under Kajabi’s privacy policy. I receive your name, email address, and enrollment details so I can provide the course and related emails.
Analytics and advertising
This site uses Google Tag Manager and Google Ads tags to understand how visitors use the site and to measure the performance of my advertising. These tools may set cookies and collect information such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, and how you arrived at the site. Site performance and security
The site uses Jetpack (by Automattic) for security and to deliver images faster through its content delivery network, and caching tools to keep pages loading quickly. These services may process technical information such as your IP address and browser details. See Automattic’s privacy policy.
Embedded content from other websites
Pages on this site include embedded content such as YouTube videos. Embedded content behaves the same way as if you visited the other website directly, and that website may collect data about you, use cookies, and track your interaction with the embedded content.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. This site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work (for example, WordPress cookies used when an administrator logs in), and analytics and advertising cookies set by Google as described above. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; the site will still work, although some features may not.

I share information only with the service providers that help run this site and my programs, as described above (website hosting, Mailchimp, Kajabi, Google, and Automattic/Jetpack), or when required by law.
How long I keep your information
Contact form submissions are kept for as long as needed to respond and maintain a record of our communication, and are deleted on request. Newsletter subscribers remain on the list until they unsubscribe. Course account information is retained by Kajabi under its own policies.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information I hold about you, and you can unsubscribe from emails at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws. To make a request, send a message through the contact form on this site.
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised.
